Honeymoon

  1. Japan
  2. Korea
  3. Australia
  4. Lombok
  5. Thailand
  6. Boracay
  7. Maldives

Planning for a short minimoon right after wedding makes us feel really excited because we have not travelled together before and we would like to choose a place that we can build as much memories together.

Although fiance was like “I don’t mind anywhere as long as I am with you. Staycay in singapore also can..” I’m the one who went “YOU CRAZZZYYY BOO?!” ๐Ÿ˜‚ I need my getaway, my well deserved break you see ..

We have cancelled out on Boracay because it’s monsoon season, Japan & Korea as it’s summer time as well as Maldives because really we are not the 24/7 beach kinda people. I need my city a little bit of my shopping life too for myself๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ˜…. We did not opt for Bali as I have been there with my family for nearly 2 weeks and although it is different to go there with a hubby, but I’d prefer exploring a new place. Hence, we have decided to add in Lombok / Thailand into the picture despite already planning on our Aussie trip.

Planning for the Aussie trip makes me sad because it will only be for about 5/6 days since I do not have much leave as my wedding date is not during a school holiday. And it seems wasted to go there for a short trip. Although scoot had a promo then, I’m glad I did not took it as my girls kept saying that we gotta splurge on a good flight especially if its right after your wedding and journey takes longer than 3 hrs. My girls have also been telling me that I should opt for something relaxing because right after the wedding we will be super tired. Mr Fiance is in love with the Aussie trip already because it’s winter time and we can explore so many places! I’m in love with it too but there’s always something holding us back when we want to book the flight / accomodations. In fact I have asked for private muslim tours, car rentals, finalised the itinerary & accomodation. But, we’re prolly not going Aussie because there’s too much adventures and places to explore that really 6 days 5 nights would not be sufficient for us.

Infact, we’ll probably be having a minimoon at Msia during our ESA postwedding photoshoot. Both of us would also like to head to Europe / Iceland/ New Zealand for our main proper honeymoon.

Aussie trip:

Will be a mix of adventure but relaxation as well as some shopping trip. Hot air balloon / skiing / sky diving / helicopter ride etc but it is all so expensive $$$$! We need about $400 per activity. <and some its per pax, heh>

Lombok / Thailand :

Will be mostly for relaxation and a little bit of shopping trip. But damn can go for spa everyday! I like!

The good thing about opting for Lombok / Thailand is the fact that we get to save half of the honeymoon budget that we initially set aside for Australia! And as we both plan to go for our proper main honeymoon end of the year to Europe, we can pump that extra money for our Dec trip, In Shaa Allah.

Most importantly just look at this amazing view Masya Allah! Can we just go already?! Just take my money already please.

And yes finally uploading this blog post because I realised it was set to draft ๐Ÿ˜‚

Oh yes, a colleague of mine just mentioned that he had booked a surprise honeymoon to Lombok. He had booked a villa via airbnb though and it cost abt $200 per night while the bikes rental per day is at $13.50!

I have already asked several hotels in both Lombok and Thailand (venue secret first haha) if they have halal dining options! And also for their private romantic dinner pricing๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™ˆ  Beau and I were so close to book both flights and accomodations few days back but I’m thinking twice because there are other villas too that I’m in love with! Or maybe we’ll book the island which is 10 mins off Phuket and have that villa to ourselves? We shall see๐Ÿค”

  1. Yes.. I highly recommend spa especially couple massage for honeymoon. All your sore aches from the wedding planning and the real wedding day itself will be sooth. You’ll return home feeling relax.

      • Yup there’s none but you can hire a scooter or car nearby and go all around! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I tried a number of pool villas in phuket and so far the best is impiana’s honeymoon suite. Most of the halal food is at nai harn though.

      • Yes yes hehe but for the private villas we going to be staying put and not explorin much. Hehe we wanted the private romantic dining also. But already have a few hotels that serve halal food! Later when we check out to resort then we’ll be having our private tour. Jadi senang can explore anywhere makan anywhere

      • Just be careful with their claim of halal food. 3 of the private villas I’ve went to claimed they are halal but actually upon asking them, they have a shared kitchen/periuk etc and I saw pork on the menu. Impiana was the only one who said they were not halal. Ah ah best to just relax. When I go there I just go out for meals and spent most of the day in the pool. Romantic and relaxing! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. This is very much in line with Rob Bell in Love Wins – he draws this point from Moses drawing water from the rock and, in the NT, the rock is Christ. Despite the impact of such thinking about the resurrection elsewhere in the book (particularly influenced by NT Wright), Bell does not draw the link quite so clearly between resurrection and the evle-whrre-Lord-ofyale-creation-Jesus. This is a link I have long reflected on and I'm glad to see you put words to this.
